MCPS STUDENTS WIN REGIONAL DANCE TITLES
Elly Robinson ( 9th grader ) and Amy Treloar ( senior ) won Regional Titles for Miss Inspire Teen and Miss Inspire Senior respectively , and they are both Online Photogenic Winners for Nationals . Elly and Amy were presented with their awards at the Inspire Nationals in Savannah , Ga .
PCA ’ S ENGINEERING STUDENTS PRESENT CAPSTONE PROJECTS
PCA ’ s Engineering Academy is a challenging four-course program that culminates in a year-long project where Engineering Design and Development ( EDD ) students bring new products to life . Students aim to solve real-world problems by conceptualizing , designing , and building solutions in the Academy ’ s capstone course . As one of the final assignments of their high school career , 15 engineering students , the largest EDD class since the Academy ’ s inception in 2013 , presented a finished prototype of the product they ’ ve worked to perfect to a room of school administrators , faculty , staff , and industry professionals .
SAINT JAMES SCHOOL STUDENTS PLACE AT STATE ACTE TECHNOLOGY FAIR
Saint James School recognized sixteen students who placed at the state ACTE Technology Fair . This annual competition is sponsored by the Alabama Consortium for Technology in Education . Saint James School offers technology education at all grade levels Pre-K2 through 12th grades . The categories of the contest include Animation , Digital Game Design , Multimedia , Productivity Design , Robotics , Video Production , and Computer Programming .

Engage , Inspire , Empower …. three actions interwoven throughout Tallassee City Schools System . In the realm of engagement , the district launched F . E . E . T ( Family Engagement Educator Team ). F . E . E . T was organized to promote positive engagement from the school system to the greater community . The response from students , parents , teachers and the community as a whole has been phenomenal . Each week teams of teachers set out for home visits . Team members offer family engagement strategies , social emotional support and academic interventions and or extensions resources . Also , F . E . E . T is committed to hosting a monthly Tiger Parent Night .
