BREWTECH STUDENTS WIN AWARDS AT THE STATE TSA CONFERENCE
14 Brewbaker Technology Magnet High students attended the 42nd Annual Alabama TSA Conference . Emma Rountree , Madison Morgan and Parker Schell inducted into the TSA Honor Society . Zoe Preston was awarded fourth place in Digital Video Production and Forensic Science . VEX Robotics Team 4828-E won second place , VEX Robotics Team 4828-C came in 6th place , and VEX Robotics Team 4828-A came in 10th place in the VEX Robotics competition . Mason Hatch was elected Alabama TSA ’ s Sergeant at Arms for the 2022-2023 school year . Bradyn Stallworth was elected Alabama TSA ’ s Treasurer for the 2022- 2023 school year . Robert Parker was the 2021-2022 Alabama TSA State President .
MA STUDENT RECEIVES PRESIDENT ' S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD
Adrianne Lin has become the first Montgomery Academy student to receive the President ' s Volunteer Service Award . In recognition of her achievement , she received a gold medal , a pin , and a letter from President Biden . In 2003 , the President ’ s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President ’ s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America ’ s strength and national identity . This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action , too .
ACA CLASS OF 2022 SENIORS EXCEL ACADEMICALLY
The Class of 2022 at Alabama Christian Academy collectively earned more than $ 4.8 million dollars worth of scholarships . 82 % of the class also have a GPA that is 3.0 or higher and 30 % have a GPA that is a 4.0 or higher . Sixteen seniors earned over $ 100,000 each in scholarships . Also , three students earned high recognition academically . Baillie Johnson was named a National Merit Scholar , Clay Williams was named Salutatorian , and Wynter Prempramot was named Valedictorian .
MPS STUDENTS RECEIVE PAF SCHOLARSHIPS
Two MPS students were awarded scholarships from the Birmingham Chapter of the Professional Athletes Foundation . Kennedy Robinson , a senior at Brewbaker Technology Magnet High and Nicholas Harris , a senior at LAMP High , were both awarded a $ 2,500 scholarship from the organization . The PAF Chapter Student Scholarship is designed to reward high school athletes for their nonathletic achievements and assist them in achieving their academic career goals .
