BACHELOR OF SCIENCE STRUCTURE To complete the degree (BScN, BScM or BScHS) you need a total of 120 points at level 9. How many you will actually need will depend on which modules (and their academic level) you might have completed in the past. You need to complete a minimum of 60 points at level 9 for the award of the degree. The structure of the programme is modular. The programme of modules will be delivered over a two year period. Modules can be selected from the list of module choices which is available on the website or this link . Prospective students must complete between two and four modules, one of which must be the core module Developing Evidence Based Practice. For those international students and home students who require 120 credits at SCQF level 9, the Advancing Academic Skills module is also a core module and satisfactory completion will be required. This module will provide a foundation for your degree studies which will include core skills such as literature search, academic writing, evidence based practice and critical thinking. STAND-ALONE MODULES
All of our modules are offered as stand-alone modules, so if you are interested in some professional development, but not a degree, then make a selection from our Module Details or contact the post registration programme manager to discuss your individual requirements. Please note that you will only be allowed to take one module on a standalone basis, after which, if you wish to continue with your studies, you must register for the full BSc award. Any module taken as stand-alone and successfully completed may be accredited towards the BSc degree, provided it has been completed in the last five years.
