• Effective listening and note-taking skills to understand spoken texts on a variety of current issues.
• Strategies to understand, apply and explain relevant theories in your destination course.
• Research skills, including strategies to search, filter and evaluate a variety of texts to obtain credible and reliable information.
• Communicate effectively in social conversations, academic discussions and deliver presentations.
• Write reflective essays and research reports which are the required genres of writing in Monash’ s undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

1 Monash English is not applicable for the Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Professional Counselling. The 10-week Monash English is not applicable for the Master of Biotechnology.
