Monash investigates how international security can be strengthened worldwide.
• Advancing cybersecurity: We’ re looking into diverse forms of computer security and the rising threat of dark technology, including cheat resilience, cryptography, dark side security, deepfakes and surveillance.
• Securing data privacy: Our researchers are strengthening content encryption to prevent hackers from accessing personal information from intercepted files on public Wi-Fi networks.

Monash is taking a truly multi-disciplinary and society-wide approach to the challenge of‘ living well’ and fostering communities that thrive, with sustainable, inclusive solutions that drive better health, economic, social and cultural outcomes both locally and globally.
• Deaf In Touch Everywhere( DITE): Designed by Monash researchers, this mobile app connects Deaf individuals with Sign Language Interpreters, increasing healthcare access for the Deaf community.
• Addressing inequality: Monash is part of a £ 20 million global research hub exploring South-South migration, with efforts impacting policies to reduce income inequalities, close the gaps in education and health, and tackle discrimination experienced by migrants and their families.
• Detecting harmful pollutants: We’ re working on advanced sensors that can detect harmful environmental pollutants and can be manufactured into wearables like watches, rings and belts.
