Ahmad was the recipient of the 2018 Vice Chancellor ’ s International Intercampus PhD Mobility Scheme award , winning a travel grant to conduct a research project specialising in computational chemistry at the Parkville campus in Australia .
His research focus was on finding a more efficient and greener approach to synthesising nitrogen-containing heterocycles , which has shown promise as an effective treatment for breast cancer without the harmful side effects associated with current drugs on the market . He aspires to find a cure for terminal diseases and improve the lives of people around the world .
