Entry requirements
Individual employers set the selection criteria for their apprentices , liaising with the Faculty of Business and Law . Most applicants will be expected to hold an honours degree , or equivalent professional experience and / or qualifications . All applicants must have an acceptable Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics .
UK / Channel Islands fees
Total tuition fees are £ 19,000 paid over 2 years , and the payment of the course fee is shared between the Government and some employers , so there ’ s no cost to you as the degree apprentice .

Risk and Safety Management Professional ( Degree Apprenticeship ) MSc

Develop in-demand risk management expertise – risk management is a mainstream discipline that ’ s highly sought across the public , private , academic and governmental sectors .
Enhance your risk management skills through analysing complex problems , exploring the uncertainties involved , evaluating possible solutions , and planning risk management implementation . Gain a broad understanding of risk and safety management , including current tools and techniques , and learn from staff with industry experience and guest speakers . Develop the ability to contribute to managing risk and business effectiveness . Apply your knowledge and manage crisis scenarios in real time , in the safe environment of our business simulation suite . CONTACT TIME
You ’ ll study four modules , each with two , 3-day blocks . In the first year you will be required to attend three modules , with the final module and project in the second year .

Gain the knowledge and experience to create a robust risk culture within a business , and develop appropriate strategies to manage risk . Identify what counts as risk and how to manage this within an organisational setting . Investigate the current tools and techniques used in risk management , and take an organisational and people focused approach to risk management . Explore different facets within industries including : varying perceptions of risk ; how to prepare for risks and crises ; management approaches and techniques ; and how to lead employees in difficult times .
Learn to understand differing perceptions of risk and cultural differences in approaches to risk , as well as the impact these might have . Develop critical thinking , decision making and analysis skills that you can use immediately to help organisations manage risk .

Webinars are held once per week with your module tutors . These offer the opportunity to discuss the week ’ s topic , ask questions and develop your understanding .
