I chose the degree apprenticeship route as I could undertake postgraduate study whilst continuing to work full time . The Uni helped me to take the next step academically and professionally , developing numerous skills that have transferred to my everyday working .

We have developed degree apprenticeship courses with employers and professional organisations , so that new and established employees can boost their skills and knowledge .
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES ?
Our degree apprenticeship courses combine the academic study you ’ d expect from a university degree with practical , on-the-job experience , while in employment . They enable you to develop skills required for a successful career , including project management , problem-solving and leadership abilities . You also get to apply what you learn to real situations in the workplace , in real time .

HOW IT WORKS
You ’ ll be recruited by your employer as a degree apprentice or a current employee seeking professional development . Degree apprenticeships ( Level 7 ) take between two and four years to complete , depending on the course you take , your existing qualification / s and experience . These apprenticeships are delivered in different ways – from one day per week , to a combination of campus and distance learning .
APPLICANTS MUST :
– Spend 50 per cent of their employment in England
– Have an acceptable Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics
– Acceptable qualifications include GCSE with grade C / 4 or above and Functional Skills with Pass . Please note that we are not able to accept all kinds of Level 2 qualifications , so if you are unsure whether you have a suitable qualification please get in touch . If you do not have an acceptable qualification you may be required to take an additional assessment during the application process
ZERO COST TO THE APPRENTICE :
How it ’ s funded
Eligibility for funding will be determined as part of the admissions process . The payment for the course fee is shared between the government and some employers , so there ’ s no cost to you as the degree apprentice .
What can I study ?
We offer a growing range of degree apprenticeships that cover sectors including management , engineering , information technology and surveying . They are suitable for new recruits as well as those currently employed in organisations . The degrees count towards a Level 7 ( Master ’ s ) apprenticeship qualification .
