This is a research-centred course with a focus on a number of highly valued key skills within the industry and in academia . You ’ ll be guided to approach practical problems from a broader intellectual perspective .

This course can lead you to a research degree . If you graduate with first-class honours , you may be able to enter the Monash Doctoral Program ( PhD ) without first completing a master ’ s degree by research .

Complete relevant coursework in a particular discipline area and achieve a minimum score of 70 per cent to upgrade to a PhD .

Monash ’ s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub ( eiHub ) collaborates and partners with university clubs , industry and the community to support students in building achievable and sustainable startups and social enterprises . Students can access incubation rooms and a lounge for informal discussions , and participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative and entrepreneurial solutions to real business issues .

A master ’ s degree in a related discipline , with a significant research component , at least equivalent to an Australian honours degree ( a full-time year of research and an examined thesis ).

You must also meet the English language requirements of the University .
