my own civil engineering
postgraduate pathway
With a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, you can
bring important ideas to life. At Portsmouth, we give
you the option to specialise and build a customised
degree.
If you’d like to graduate with a dual award, you can
choose from four specialist pathways:
• Earthquake Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Structural Engineering
This gives you the freedom to build a path to the future
you want to create. You’ll pursue research that sparks
your passion. And you’ll complete a unique design
project.
Your choice of pathway will be reflected in the title of
your exit award – for example, MSc Civil Engineering
with Earthquake Engineering – or, simply, MSc Civil
Engineering.
