bursaries for
Master’s courses
These loans are paid directly to you and can be used
towards tuition fees, living costs and other course costs
on both taught and MRes or MPhil courses. Borrow as
much as you need, up to £11,222 for your course. You can use scholarships and bursaries to fund some or
all of your course fees.
Am I eligible? You must be a UK national, or have settled
status in the UK, currently living in England or Wales, and
aged under 60 at the start of your course. These loans
are not based on your family’s income, so there’s no
means testing. • If you are a UK/EU student looking to study an
MA, MSc, MRes, MPA or LLM you could get £3,000
towards your fees with our Master’s scholarship for
academic excellence
How can I apply? If your course is eligible (most are,
but the course web page will say if yours isn’t) simply
search and apply online. English nationals apply through
Student Finance England. Welsh nationals go to Student
Finance Wales. Different funding for postgraduate study
is available to students from Scotland and Northern
Ireland.
