Once a completed application has been received by the Admissions Office, it will be assessed according to the University's entry requirements. 2. Following the assessment of your application, you will receive either one of these notifications: Letter of Offer If you meet all the conditions for entry, a Full Offer will be issued. The Offer Letter will confirm the details of the offer being made, namely: course title and start date, length of course, fee information and any conditions that may apply. The Offer Letter will be sent to you or your agent by email only and acceptances must be made by the offer lapse date stated in your Offer Letter. Conditional Offer This letter will inform you that the offer is made with conditions which need to be satisfied. Evidence must be shown that you have met the conditions before a conditional offer can be converted to a full offer, such as: i. Other conditions This generally occurs because you have not submitted all the required documentation in your application. Other reasons may be stated in your letter. Your admission will not be confirmed until you satisfy all conditions, which means arranging for all outstanding documents to be submitted to the Admissions Office, Monash University Malaysia ii. English Language requirement condition In the event the English language requirement is not met, you will need to re-sit for the necessary English Language qualification and submit the results to meet the requirements. The campus offers the Monash English Bridging (MEB) program which runs for 17 weeks. You can write in to [email protected] to enroll for the program. iii. Deadlines for meeting your conditions There are deadlines by which you must satisfy the conditions of your offer. In the event that you fail to satisfy the conditions by the lapse date, the conditional offer shall immediately become null and void and of no further force or effect. You will have to re-apply for admission at the next available intake. Deferring an offer If you wish to defer an Offer, please follow the steps below: 1. Accepting the offer Complete and sign the student acceptance form and make the required payment stated in your offer letter. 2. Complete and sign the Application for Deferment form (available for download on monash.edu.my/defer) 3. Rejection Letter Deferment is normally granted for a maximum period of 12 months. If you wish to resume your commencement in mid-year, please ensure your course has a mid-year intake. A rejection letter will be issued if you are unsuccessful in meeting Monash University’s entry requirements. Approval of deferment Step 3 Accepting the Offer To secure a place at Monash University Malaysia, you must accept the offer before the deadline stated in your Offer Letter with relevant payment of fee. Failing to do so will cause the offer to lapse. Details on how to accept the offer will be provided in your Offer Letter. During your deferment period, please ensure you formally notify the University (Admissions Office) of any changes to your correspondence address. Orientation Week You are encouraged to participate in the Orientation Program, which is specifically designed to help you adjust to life at Monash University Malaysia.
