For his doctoral study, he worked closely with a Semai community in Northern Malaysia that is involved in the conservation of the Rafflesia cantleyi and the Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing. He hopes that his research will highlight the importance of privileging indigenous knowledge and perspectives in the effort to protect our rainforests and natural heritages.
