Candidature in a Doctor of Philosophy( PhD) involves the independent investigation of a research problem which you have formulated. It is expected that the research undertaken will make a significant contribution to the knowledge and understanding of the chosen discipline.

Course Structure
For Engineering and Business disciplines, the program structure consists of:
● a research thesis component
● a coursework study program
For PhD programs in other disciplines, the course will consist of:
● a research and thesis component
● a coursework study and / or professional development training program( depending on the program)
Requirements
In addition to program requirements, the traditional PhD will require you to submit a thesis, the length of which may vary across disciplines but which should not exceed 80,000 words.
3-4 years( Full-time) 6-8 years( Part-time)*
Your PhD research project is to be conceived from the outset as clearly achievable within three years equivalent full time, and you are expected to complete your degree within three to four years equivalent full time.

Enrolment to the School of Business is available on March, August and December.
