TELL US ABOUT AN AMAZING CRUISE YOU ’ VE BEEN ON RECENTLY In November 2021 , I joined a five-day Western Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Constellation out of Tampa , Florida . Everything ran so smoothly — check-in was very organized and the service everywhere was excellent . I felt very safe on the cruise and my balcony stateroom was lovely . The food was very good both in main dining and specialty dining and the entertainment was really great . There were two ports of call on this particular cruise . The first was Belize , where we tendered from 10am to 6pm . There are local tours available to Belize Zoo and the Belize Barrier Reef ; it ’ s possible to take a boat to Ambergris Cave or Rendezvous Caye . Other tours include Mayan ruins :

you can climb the 60ft Temple of the Sun God at Altun Ha , visit Xunantunich near Guatemala , or take a river safari to remote Lamanai . The second port is Cozumel , Mexico , where we docked all day until 7pm . It has excellent diving or you can go snorkeling — or just lie on the beach if that ’ s more your kind of thing !

WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS CRUISE ? I ’ d say Celebrity Cruises are great for clients who like a large ship ; many of my guests enjoy that , and they tend to have an age range of around 50-plus . However , in the summer and school vacations , the larger ships are really good for families . I also recommend Royal Caribbean for family trips and multigenerational trips .

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CRUISE AS A HOST ? I ’ ve been on 30 cruises with different lines , and I like them all . I go on Celebrity most often and the service and food are always excellent , with great entertainment . Oceania is one I really love to be a Distinctive Voyages host on . It ’ s a smaller ship , about 600 to 1,000 passengers , and it has the best food .

CAN YOU TELL US WHAT IT ’ S LIKE BEING A HOST ON A DISTINCTIVE VOYAGES CRUISE ? I enjoy hosting and meeting guests . I love making them feel special and , of course , the extras from their travel advisor gives them a reason to rebook . I ’ ve met so many wonderful people . We all have a story !
