ANTARCTICA I ’ ve always been captivated by Antarctica as it seems like a whole other planet where the scenery is absolutely stunning . I ’ m hoping to sail there on Seabourn ’ s new expedition ship , where I can kayak among seals and whales , step ashore to see penguins and take a submarine to explore the underwater marine life . These are the types of experiences that inspire people and change .
ICELAND Iceland has become such a popular destination — in part because of where it is and how unique it is . On top of my list is to drive around the country to explore its mystical landscapes and countless waterfalls and hopefully see the Northern Lights , too . I understand why it ’ s at the top of many travelers ’ must-see list because Iceland is a destination like no other .
IRELAND Not only does Ireland look beautiful but I always hear you ’ ll encounter some of the nicest people you ’ ll ever meet there . Being half Irish , I have a personal desire to travel back to where some of my ancestors came from and learn more about my history and background . It ’ s also home to some of the best golf courses , and I wouldn ’ t mind a round of golf there , as well .
AFRICA There have been many people who ’ ve told me an African safari is a life-changing experience . I ’ d love to see Mother Nature in her purest form and be immersed in nature and awed by the wildlife . I feel like a safari is the ultimate experience , combining many of my passions into one journey — travel , nature and wildlife . winter 2022 // 51
