The early fall is one of the best times to visit Prague , when the temperature is mild and fewer crowds fill up big hitters such as Charles Bridge and the 9th-century citycenter castle . A stroll around the perfectly preserved Old Town , a UNESCO World Heritage Site , is a must in order to soak up the Czech capital ’ s old-world grandeur and impressive mix of gothic , baroque and Renaissance architecture . Yet , for an allencompassing bird ’ s-eye view of the city ’ s spire-topped skyline and bridges receding into the distance over the Vltava River , head to Letná Park ( pictured ). This viewpoint above Letná hill doubles as a beer garden , making it a popular hangout spot for locals and visitors alike .
