Need to know : Australia
Covid-19 testing requirements for visitors have now been dropped in Australia . Be aware , though , that states and territories can apply their own travel restrictions , so ensure you understand the requirements specific to the state or territory you ’ re entering . Travelers will still be required to wear a mask while on international flights .
All international tourists need to apply for an eligible visa . Before you apply for your visa , make sure you have a valid passport . Most tourists from Canada and the United States will be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority visa ( subclass 601 ), which can be applied for through the Australian ETA app .

Visitors to New Zealand must complete the online New Zealand Traveller Declaration , which collects travel and Covid-19 health-related information . The declaration must be submitted up to 28 days before your flight .
If visitors meet the declaration requirements , they ’ ll receive a Traveller Pass , which they ’ ll be asked to show at check-in and when they arrive in New Zealand . U . S . and Canadian travelers must apply for a New Zealand Travel Authority visa waiver before visiting the country , and will also need to pay an International Visitor Levy of NZ $ 35 ($ 21 ) when applying for the ENZeTA .
As of July 2022 , vaccinated visitors from visa waiver countries — which currently include the U . S . and Canada — can enter New Zealand , but must have a valid digital or paper Covid-19 vaccine certificate . Children aged 16 and under do not need to be vaccinated . Travelers must also take rapid antigen tests after arrival , which will be given to them at the airport .
