Sandals has announced an opening date of June 1 for its latest resort , Sandals Royal Curaçao . The 16th Sandals Resort sits on 44 acres within the Santa Barbara private estate , an exclusive 3,000-acre protected preserve . The resort has 351 rooms and suites in 24 room categories , including two new signature suite categories , the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows and Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows . These both come complete with private pools , butler service , and convertible Mini Coopers , which are complimentary for guests to use to explore the island .

The company ’ s Royal Bahamian resort has recently reopened , with some updated offerings for this luxury hotel on the Nassau coast . These changes include

swim-up suites , situated on the edge of a river pool , and newly renovated rooms and suites with updated furnishings , spa-style bathrooms and oversized terraces and balconies . Also new to the property is the Island Village , located in a secluded area surrounded by tropical gardens . There is also an outdoor dining area , Coconut Grove , which a includes a lounge space shaded by coconut palms and gourmet food trucks . The 13 dining options at the Royal Bahamian include these food trucks , along with six new restaurants , which include French eatery La Plume , British pub The Queen ’ s Pearl , Butch ’ s Chophouse , pan-Caribbean restaurant Kanoo , Soy Sushi Bar and Aralia House on Sandals Barefoot Cay , the resort ’ s private island .
