3 gallons water 3 lbs of sugar 4 1 / 2 sticks of cinnamon 3 tsp . whole cloves 3 / 4 cups loose tea or 36 bags 9 lemons 8 oranges 1 / 2 tsp . Allspice 1 tsp . ginger
Boil water and add sugar and spice bag and boil for 10 minutes . Remove from heat and add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes . Remove tea bags and add lemon and orange juices . Serve hot . Add pineapple juice if desired .
Mom ’ s Peanut Butter Pinwheels
4 Tbsp . soft margarine 2 C . Confectioner ’ s sugar 1 tsp . vanilla 1 1 / 2 Tbsp . milk
Mix all ingredients together and mix into a ball ( add a few drops of milk if it is too dry ). Spread out between two sheets of waxed paper using a rolling pin to the thickness of 1 / 4 inch ( rectangle-shaped ). Then spread with peanut butter and roll up tightly into a log . Slice to desired thickness and refrigerate till firm .
