We talked with Dr. Susana Guimarães, a woman of courage at the command of Valditaro, in Góis, and we tried to know the secret of the company to be able to demarcate in the market and offer a differentiated product. Her response was firm "For 29 years in the market, Valditaro has been distinguished by its people. Our collective experience allows us to offer products that are identical to each other but different from all others. Just like each of us. These people make Valditaro what it is, a company of excellence in the production of decorative lighting. From the pre-sale to the post-sale, these are the people that allow us to offer a product of design and superior quality all over the world".
We also ask for her opinion about the Portuguese lighting market and its growth. Her view on it is clear and states that "not being as important as it once was, the national lighting sector gradually shows sustainable growth, with a greater willingness to acquire the Portuguese product. However, in our opinion, this market is not enough for the growth of the sector, in this way, the international market is the natural step of growth due to its size and profitability".
However, the introduction into new markets is not always easy, "the proximity of existing competition in each market / country can become an obstacle. That is why it is crucial to actively participate in international fairs to show our product, our quality and our capabilities across borders and maintain ties with existing customers and suppliers as well as potential".
For Dr. Susana, AIPI has developed important work over the course of its 20 years on the support granted to national companies "it is in this participation that AIPI provides one of the most important supports for an exporting company, facilitating the fundraising that allow us to be present in a growing number of fairs in different markets".
