Portuguese Lighting: Is it easy to create a product that combines functionality and creative design?
Rui C. Brandão: It's not an easy task, but it's exactly this challenge that makes it so exciting. Much of the creative process happens organically, resulting from experimentation and the combination of different materials. This internal development guarantees a distinctive design and innovative and functional solutions.
PL: And in terms of exports, what are the most significant markets for your company?
RCB: Our main export market is Spain, which represents around 70% of our revenue. However, we continue to expand our global presence, exploring new opportunities in other regions of Europe, where we already make small sales to countries such as France, Italy, United Kingdom, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Greece, etc. Furthermore, we are present in several countries in Latin America and Africa, reinforcing our commitment to internationalization.
PL: How important is it for your company to participate in international fairs? How do you evaluate the impact of participating in a trade fair for an exporting company?
RCB: Presence on the international scene is becoming increasingly essential for Tacorsil. In 2024, we had the opportunity to participate, for the first time, in Habitat Valencia Fair as an exporting brand and the outcome could not have been more positive. This experience allowed us to strengthen the brand's visibility, establish new partnerships and expand our operations into new markets, consolidating our commitment to innovation and internationalization.
" Tacorsil brand is increasingly valued internationally. It is in this global positioning that we currently identify ourselves, exploring new markets and opportunities that allow us to strengthen our presence in a highly competitive sector. "
