Padang Pondok Djaja founded by Soffian Widjaja Chaedir with his wife as a cook. Both are descendants of Padang-Chinese focused its business in segments of the office and family. This business is located at Jl. Hasyim Ashari No. 13B, Jakarta. Client : Final Project THE LOGO This logo depicts a stylized cottage Chinese culture consisting of the initials P & D modified as Chinese Character. In logogram, also described the roof of a traditional Padanghouse ( iconic). Designers wanted to give fusion on the logo where the logogram has covered both aspects. In PONDOK DJAJA logotype designer wants to give balance to the logogram already impressed bold and dominant, therefore, a long, thin font selection is the right choice for this logo, which is Qhytsdakx. GRID SYSTEM & GOLDEN RATIO SUPERGRAPHICS ARE : Supergraphics will be installed in through restaurant walls. Supergraphic made manually from a sketch, and poster painted and digitalised. The main purpose is to impress the visitor that the keyword of the restaurant “authentic” is affirmed. The style of the supergraphic itself was taken from a visual reference book “Chinese Graphic Design at pages 126-127 by Scott Minick and Jiao Ping”,(I wanted took this style is because by the time it was in China (1968) this style is emerging, and I want to combine the style with the Padangnese related objects therefore the fusion between those two is made.
