APEX: CRIS BRUCH PORTLAND ART MUSEUM 1219 SW PARK AVE. Washington artist Cris Bruch’s new sculptural work is informed by his observation of Midwestern farms on cross-country journeys. Building upon seemingly mundane structures, he imbues each object with ideas of personal and historical identity. Abstract in idea but familiar in form, these new pieces speak to growth in America’s heartland and the effect of rural and urban society on our observations of that space.
