TYPE 1 TIMER HOCKEY
Inspired by their oldest son who was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes ( T1D ), Megan & Geoff Hoffmann started Type 1 Timer Hockey ( T1T ) — a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) nonprofit organization that provides elite hockey instruction , diabetes education for both parents and children , and fun , community-building events for families and children affected by diabetes . In addition to T1T , the Hoffmanns support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ( JDRF ). From funding innovative research to advocating for government action to providing a support structure for the T1D community , no other organization does more to fight T1D than JDRF .
