I ' m John MacLean , a Commercial and Fine Art Photographer with over 50 years of photographic experience . I started shooting and processing film with my father in our basement darkroom at the age of 9 .
The infinite variety and natural light of landscapes have always attracted me . The mountains of Western North Carolina provide a never ending palette of color and illumination . Every season offers a different and inspiring composition . It ’ s my goal to capture the essence of each scene and visually communicate that to the viewer .
