Spacecraft
With European countries working on a space craft that takes off horizontally, it will be much better because the fuel to propel the spacecraft will be used much more effeciently to travel further into the far reaches of space. In the future, there will probably be foreign races coming to wage war against humans, so it may be a good idea to create fleets to patrol around highly human populated planets and places and warfare would be preferably better.
