Initially arriving in pre-season, following then-assistant manager Scott Young from AFC Porth, Steven returned back to the Welsh League side on loan until he finally made the goalkeeper’s position his own, recording four clean-sheets in an impressive run of form, as he finished his debut season as first-choice. Kerry Nicholas #35 GOALKEEPER Date of Birth: 24/10/92 Last season: N/A Previous clubs: West Brom, Lincoln City, Neath, Carmarthen Town Bio: Arrived at the GenQuip Stadium in pre-season prior to the start of 2013/14 season, Kerry arrived from Carmarthen Town where he competed for the number one shirt with Steven Cann, making four league appearances. Still only 20 years old, Kerry still has plenty of time to develop into a leading WPL goalkeeper. David Brooks #39 MIDFIELD Date of Birth: 19/05/89 Last season: 26 (2) apps, 15 goals Previous clubs: Bridgend Street, Dinas Powys st Bio: Signed by previous manager Mark Jones on his 21 birthday, despite his modest background in the Welsh League, Brooks has emerged as one of the league’s most skilful players during his three seasons with Port Talbot.
