You know Who What Wear, the website started 10 years ago that has become your
go-to for all things celebrity style? Well, the duo behind the site, Hillary Kerr and
Katherine Power, have joined forces with Target to create a collection full of
street-style inspired staples launching on January 31. As an ongoing partnership
with Target, new styles will be introduced each month, all ringing in under $50.
Even better, the collection ranges from sizes 2 to 26. Last week, I caught up with
Kerr and Power over the phone to learn more about the collection. Check out our

Katherine Power: We’ve been wanting to do a Who What Wear clothing line since
basically the beginning of Who What Wear. When we think about our reader, she
really mixes high and low. She loves affordable fashions and she’ll save up for that
key designer bag every season. A retailer that we feel really embodied that same
kind of image is Target. We’ve really always admired their business and how
they’ve worked with various designers. So we thought that was the best place to
make Who What Wear accessible in real life—in tangible goods. We started
working on this probably two years ago and came up with the idea of using street
style as our inspiration. The mix of super on-trend pieces with perfect classics like
the best trench coat you can imagine, mixed with that really trendy floral pencil
skirt—that was kind of how it started.
As I looked through the look book I noticed that was a mix of plus-size and
straight size models. Was that a conscious decision when you were
designing?
Hillary Kerr: Absolutely. At the end of the day, style should be accessible to
everyone
of every shape. And it was important for us to include everything,
all of the sizes, in our collection. We think that our readers and
the Target guests as a whole will be really
excited about it, too.
