EVIDENCE OF USE NOT NECESSARY, COURT SAYS
The Supreme Court, extending the power of public schools to
control students, ruled yesterday that all school athletes may be tested
for dnjgs—even if there is no evidence that anyone is using them.
By a 6-3 vote, the justices upheld a random drug-testing policy
imposed on student athletes...
The decision is expected to generate similar testing programs in
some of the nations many troubled schools...
