MEET AN ARTIST CONT'D

I would like to ask if you’ve ever designed any artwork for an author (cover image, maps, interior art - including font styles - etc.)?

Yes. I’ve done concept work for several artists

and designed covers. I even formatted a novel

recently (a job that requires Microsoft word

knowledge and has nothing to do with art or

graphic design)

Where do you gather most of the inspiration for your works?

Experience; Everything that my senses take in in

some way feeds my creative palette.

Have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone

and discovered a whole new genre of art?

How did it turn out?

Its good to try new things to keep fresh. I experiment

with different styles from time to time which I’m actually

doing right now on a secret project. It was also fun stepping

away from the realistic rendering style of my paintings

to something more stylized for my comic Diskordia.

Do you have any other interesting hobbies or maybe a

fun story about an experience involving your artwork?

I’m pretty boring as art, writing and dreaming up worlds

is my main hobby. I’m a huge nerd as well.

I love to game, read, listen to music and play Yugioh.

I guess an interesting thing to note is some people’s reaction

to my work. The Word ‘demonic’ seems to be the go-to word

for anyone encountering anything even slightly challenging to

their world view.

Where can we reach you if we are interested in commissioning

you for our own projects?

I can be reached through my portfolio site or by email

[email protected]

What, in your opinion, is the hardest step in creating a masterpiece?

The line between concept and execution. Also being

able to leave a piece before you ruin it by over-completing it.
