THE TRI COLLECTION: MOVING MOUNTAINS, BUILDING BRIDGES
The thing about lllllllllllllllllllllllll l journeys - we ddddddddn often don’t know ddddndnd where they begin ddhdhdhd or where they will dhdhdhdhd end. We are often even unsure of how the path will unfold before us.
Noir, translated from French to English as black, one of the pinnacle symbolisms of the production. In the 14th century black was used as a sign of importance and this was just that, as it moved from pensive state to paper to product. Though this event was very important to the creator, Katrina N Brathwaite, this was not her only reasoning. Black illustrated her casting a shadow, enabling a fade out of all the doubts or fears she held. She accomplished such throughout the show in a number of different ways. Every piece highlighted its own uniqueness, from showing contrast to the theme to baring one’s self to the world.
To surmise, Pomp Wknd and the Noir line of The Tri Collection brought international caliber to the shores of Barbados and was received by those who were given the opportunity to behold such a sight with feelings of grandeur and kudos. As the show came to a climax the emotional accomplishment of Katrina N Brathwaite was shared with all, applauded and kept in the memories and mouths of many.
But… this is only the beginning…
