Shasam, as Shannon Williams calls herself, has taken the next step in the perler revolution. Beads and their many uses can be sourced as far back as the colonial period, where they were used in Europe as a means of trade. Beyond that period their significance was embedded in the use of beads for jewelry, prayer, anti-tension, gaming and even currency, but the 8-bit creator added another element of necessity to Animekon and Barbados in general. This is the element of fun and presentation, capturing the imagination as you re-enter the world of NES, SNES and many of the cartoons from the times of the 90’s era.
