It is proposed to install Traffic Signals, CCTV, Speed
breakers at various important locations/junctions. Besides,
exercise to demarcate Parking/No Parking areas and creating
awareness on traffic rules is being undertaken.
Grants to village panchayats under Deendayal Panchayat
Raj Infrastructure Development scheme
Goa Government has notified Deendayal Panchayat Raj
Infrastructure Development (Golden Jubilee) Scheme 2013
to provide infrastructure in Village costing upto 1 crore.
The said grant has been awarded to the following panchayats
from Ponda Taluka as of now V.P. Panchawadi, V.P. Querim,
V.P. Borim, V.P. Bethora Nirankal

dustbins of 240 ltrs capacity erected/installed at 6
locations by Ponda Municipal Council
Dustbins have been supplied to each and every household by
Ponda Municipal Council. If any household is left out than
the owner is given the option of approaching the Municipal
Solid Waste Management Wing of the Ponda Municipal
Council and obtain dustbins which would be given only after
proper verification of the past records.
