Tom is 28 years old and the only 7-goal player in South Africa . Born in KwaZulu-Natal , he ’ s been playing polo since the age of eight . He represented SA at school and senior level , having played polo professionally around the world . Major tournaments he ’ s participated in , at levels as high as 26 goals , include the Queens Cup , Gold Cup , Royal Windsor , SA Open , FIP World Cup and Warwickshire Cup . As SA Polo Captain , Tom lead his team to victory in 2012 at the World Snow Polo Tournament in China , against England at the Coronation Cup and against Australia in the same year . In 2013 the team beat England , New Zealand and China . They also won the BMW International Test Match against USA in 2014 where Tom won Man Of The Match and again in 2015 against New Zealand . The SA team beat England in a test match in 2015 at Kurland in Plettenberg Bay .

Gareth is 33 years old and currently playing off a 6 handicap . Married to Louissa ( with two children ), he comes from a strong polo-playing family in which both his father and two brothers play . Gareth played polo professionally in the UK and was a member of the Broncos team that included greats such as Facundo and Gonzalito Pieres . Broncos narrowly lost a closely contested final of the �ueens Cup to Dubai in extra time . Gareth has also played for Azzura , Sumaya and Geebung in the English high goal . He was part of the team that won the 2012 South African Open and also represented South Africa at the 2014 FIP World Snow Polo tournament in China . He was also part of the victorious South African side that beat the USA in the 2014 and New Zealand in the 2015 BMW International Polo Series . Gareth is currently based in Harare , Zimbabwe .

John plays off � goals and has represented South Africa locally and internationally at a junior and senior level . He comes from a strong polo family with both his father and brother-in-law having represented South Africa . He ’ s comfortable at any position on the field and has always had a good string of ponies . He has international experience in Australia , Barbados , Chile , England , Ghana , Kenya , Malaysia , Mexico , Singapore , Uruguay , Zambia and Zimbabwe . John farms beef , sheep and crops in Underberg , KwaZulu-Natal , and is married to Jemma with three children .

Mike is 37 years old and is married to Paula . They have three children and farm in the Kokstad area of East Griqualand . Mike started playing polo at his home club Kokstad from an early age and has represented East Griqualand on numerous occasions as well as being selected as reserve for the SA team in 2014 to take on the USA . His preferred positions are 1 or 2 but he ’ s capable of playing any position . Mike toured England with the SA Schools team during his matric year and has also played polo in India , Pakistan , Zimbabwe , Zambia and Kenya . He is an excellent horseman and prides himself with always having a good , fast string of ponies .

Davey is 35 years old and plays off a � handicap . He ’ s married to Mieke and has two children . He currently lives in Johannesburg , runs a livery yard and plays polo at his home club , Rocking Four . Davey has played polo in England , Spain , Barbados , Australia and most African countries . He ’ s an excellent horseman who can play in any position , and was part of the victorious South African team that beat the USA in 2014 . Davey schools polo ponies professionally from his family ’ s farm , Cadwallon .
