It was an intense match from the start where La Irenita quickly demonstrated that they had
come to the tournament prepared to give their all and win the tournament’s opener; but as the
half-time bell went, La Esquina was prompt to demonstrate that on the field, they were equally
hungry for the win. It was a rivating match and the final score clearly denoted the skill and
eagerness of both teams. In the end, La Irenita prevailed by a score of 14-11 over La Esquina.

Following the thrilling match disputed on Cancha 2, came the turn of the mighty La Aguada
Las Monjitas against La Albertina Abu Dhabi. Playing on Cancha 1, La Albertina played one
exhilarating chukker after another, giving the viewing public the type of spectacle they were
expecting. In the end however, La Albertina were overcome by the powerful strength of the
Novillo Astrada brothers, falling 13-10 at the final bell.
