THE TWO GIANTS OF POLO MEET ONCE AGAIN IN THE « GRAN FINAL »
December 10th would see a match of epic proportions , a match in which both teams would play for more than the trophy . An epic battle of wills , hopes , pride and skill . La Dolfina , having lost against Ellerstina at Hurlingham — thus seeing their hope for repeating their triple crown win truncated , would play this match to the death , so to speak .
Ellerstina on the other hand , would go all out to win a trophy that has eluded them since 2012 . The stage was set as thousands of fans disembarked at Palermo for the grand « fiesta del Polo »; and a big party it always turns out to be . A show of shows where fashion , sport , music and an obvious « hip factor » come together to make Palermo a unique spectacle . In terms of music and « hipness » the VIP lounges of Chandon , Stella Artois , HSBC , and the AAP ( Asociacion Argentina de Polo ) did their part both before and after the great match .
