sometimes spanning years, each boutique is custom designed by our company, developed by our team of architects and installed (wherever it is in the world) by Florentine artisans. We present two interior options: the balance of brown Californian briar-root wood set against crystal and travertine marble, or black Californian briar-root wood paired with crystal and a distinctly Tuscan pietra serena sandstone. FR: We take our time to search and identify the most exclusive corners of each city. Our boutiques are destinations, ensuring exclusivity and confidentiality. Q11. Signature belts have always been a highly desired fashion commodity, and even more so in the last number of years. Describe for us what makes a STEFANO RICCI belt so incredibly unique and the various styles of bejeweled belt buckles which are currently the most popular. NR: The STEFANO RICCI belt was first proposed in the late 1970s and evolved as we began to use exotic leathers and to perfect the cuts of the material so that seams are not necessary. The buckle designs range from animal shapes to the SR monogram, and the precious buckles are all handset. FR: The eagle head, which we mentioned before, is among our most popular designs. It is reimagined for each collection and has always been met with appreciation. Q12. Stefano Ricci owns Antico Setificio Fiorentino, an 18th-century silk factory (purchased in 2009), which includes a warping machine designed by Leonardo da Vinci, which has produced items by STEFANO RICCI for Pope Francis. Briefly explain the production process at this silk factory. Are all STEFANO RICCI fabrics currently manufactured there? NR: The Antico Setificio Fiorentino produces limited edition fabrics. Some looms produce only 40 centimeters of material per day, whereas others may reach a few meters per day. For this reason, we only present some garments in each collection made from precious ASF fabrics. FR: The significance of the ASF fabrics is expressed through the most exclusive items in each collection. These are the fabrics that dress Andrea Bocelli as he tours worldwide, and it was an honor to prepare the chasuble that the Holy Father wore on the occasion of his recent visit to Florence. Q13. There is a saying that goes, “If people aren’t laughing at your goals, then your goals are too small”. Opening in Shanghai in 1993 was one of those incredible moments for STEFANO RICCI which proved to be an extraordinarily successful endeavor for the brand. What July 2020 Polo De’Marco
