can only find by setting out myself
to inspect sales horses in person.
Over the years, I have flown to
Europe to examine prospects
for fellow competitors, including
horses that have gone on to win
Gold at the North American Junior
Young Riders Championships, as
well as international competitions.
Q7. When did you start
“Dressage Under the Stars”?
And what is the meaning
behind creating this amazing
charitable event?
RRS: Originally, “Dressage
Under the Stars” was created to
promote the sport of dressage
to the general public and allow
riders the opportunity to exhibit
their horses under the lights in an
exciting atmosphere. Talented
horse and rider combinations
competed under the lights to
popular music before a panel
of guest and celebrity judges.
At the same time, spectators
enjoyed cocktails and dinner
ringside, creating a unique and
unparalleled experience. Later,
the series was reinvented as a
challenge to raise money for 6
meaningful cancer charities with
all the action and entertainment
spectators had enjoyed before.
Q8. You work closely helping
raise money for cancer. Have
you or your family been
involved with cancer?
RRS: Unfortunately, yes. In 2016
I lost my mother, Donna, to her
battle against pancreatic cancer.
She was only 59 years old. It is a
terrible disease and a cause that
is remarkably close to my heart.
Q9. Do you see yourself as
a socialite, humanitarian,
equestrian athlete, or all of
the above?
RRS: Definitely not a socialite. I
would like to think of myself as a
socially conscious entrepreneur.
Q10. What makes a good
humanitarian, and why is it
important to give back?
RRS: I believe it is everyone’s
responsibility to give back in the
capacity in which they are able.
I feel incredibly fortunate when
I can give to organizations that
are making a difference and
affecting change in animal,
environmental, or human rights.
Q11. Tell us more about your
current project South Star
Select and what your vision is
towards the company?
RRS: South Star Select is
a privately held fund with
incredibly diversified holdings,
including many investments
in cryptocurrency and
e-commerce, headed
by COO Dajon Alexander
Thomas (Harvard University,
Computational Neuroscience). In
addition to our fund, we intend to
add a real estate project in south
Florida to our portfolio by the fall
2020.
Q12. What can we look for in
the future for Rick Rockefeller-
Silvia in 2020/2021?
RRS: 2020 has already proven to
be a year of significant disruption
and change. Despite the
hardships 2020 has presented to
us, I believe it is an ideal time to
learn a skill that helps you gain
financial freedom in the comfort
of your own home. With that in
mind, I am releasing an online
course teaching the ins and
outs of trading cryptocurrency,
profitably. I spent most of the
quarantine earlier this year
documenting and learning Dajon
Alexander Thomas’s (COO, South
Star Select) trading technique.
This online video series will explain
and demonstrate everything
one needs to know in order to
trade cryptocurrency profitably
from any location via their
laptop. Though not an equestrian
endeavor, it is still illustrative in
keeping with my original thought:
knowledge and instinct work
together in every successful
business venture.
Q13. What is the motto for
yourself and Dream Street
Stallions, Inc.?
RRS: “It Begins with a Dream.”
