1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Nationally recognized reading incentive program
encouraging parents to read to their children at a young
age. Children are recognized for every 100 books they read
with the goal to read a total of 1,000 books before
kindergarten.
Where: Auburndale, Fort Meade, Haines City, and Mulberry
Excellence in Reading
This is a self-paced, year-long reading challenge for children
in grades K-12. Children earn reading incentives as they
reach reading goals.
Where: Winter Haven, Lake Alfred, and Lake Wales
Paws to Read
Your child's excitement for reading will definitely go up a
notch after spending a few minutes reading to these special
service dogs.
Where: Auburndale, Bartow, Lakeland, and Mulberry

Read and conduct science experiments in this monthly
picture book science club for grades 2-5.
