School Days: The Joys of Recess Unending laughter on a spotless day Bounces life off silent concrete. I am home, cooled by the breeze Of Hermes–the child who dashes past me. The air swells with chatter; Like a doe, I spring From the summit of my dream. My running steps are muffled, Cushioned by a red rubber track. © Skylark Press Studio 2016 1/2
