Basic Understanding : 0-11
Conduct an overview of safety specific policies and procedures which effect normal business working in your organisation . Make the connection between what effect national and international legislation and regulation has had on these . Understand what a risk assessment is .
Moderate Understanding : 12-24
Read relevant documentation to understand your organisation ’ s key safety objectives including : assessing and managing risk , passenger safety , managing contractors . Can you find any gaps in this documentation and speak to your safety department about that ?
Good Understanding : 25-36
Investigate how your organisation manages environmental safety factors including – noise , energy , waste management and air quality . Consider taking a IOSH or NEBOSH qualification .
