The Wind in the Willows – Lower School play
Ratty, Mole, Badger and river bank friends
found the perils of the Wild Wood as dangerous
as Toad's driving in the Lower School
production of The Wind in the Willows. Over 50
pupils were involved in a lively show
punctuated with terrific original music by Third
year Zac Stewart. Slick lighting and Cheryl
White's imaginative costumes all added to the
spirit of fun, friendship and adventure. Well
done to all involved.

Creative cooking impresses in School Masterchef final
Sixth Form students and staff went head to
head in the hard-fought final of this year’s
Masterchef-style competition.
Winners and runners-up from previous rounds
competed against a staff team and one from
Tesco. Contestants had one and a quarter hours
to produce a dish from previously unseen
ingredients supplied by the Tesco team.
The food was judged by Phil Donaldson (Head
of Academic Administration) and Toby Seth
(Headmaster). They scored the meals out of ten
in four categories: use of ingredients; technical
6
skill; appearance and taste.
Pete Massey and Tiger Brash were declared the
winners as their dish, the only pudding
prepared by the contestants, scored 34 points
out of a maximum of 40. All the contestants
showed real innovation and skill, setting an
impressively high standard for future
competitors to match.
Tesco’s Community Food Connection donates
surplus fresh food daily from all Tesco stores to
local charities and not-for-profit organisations.
