We were delighted to take 27 cadets on our Adventurous Training expedition during the May half term. Activities included mountain biking, raft building, high ropes and orienteering and there was plenty of adventure and challenge for all involved. More recently our Army section took part in our overnight exercise at Driffield Training Area. They put their fieldcraft and skill at arms training to great use within the blank firing exercise and thoroughly enjoyed the shelter building, night patrols, team work and 24 hour ration cooking. The cadets involved have now passed their one star cadet award.
The RAF Section journeyed to RAF Cosford and were spoilt for choice when it came to aircraft to explore; a highlight being a red arrow! They now look forward to RAF Summer Camp at RAF Inskip and their powered flying and gliding visits next year.
The Army Section will travel to Otterburn training area and Yorkshire Water Park for their spilt Summer Camp package. The full day range package and fieldcraft exercise are sure to be the highlights. We now look forward to welcoming our newest recruits in September and congratulate our Cadet Senior NCOs on their well deserved appointments. One final note of thanks goes to Lt Andrew Clark who retires from the Foundation this year. He has been a hugely valued member of our Officer team for over ten years and he will be very much missed. Both he and Ft Lt Patrick Dare should be congratulated on receiving Lord Lieutenant Certificates for their service to the CCF.

Co-curricular

As the summer term draws to a close, we celebrate a vibrant and fulfilling season of co-curricular life that has showcased the talents, energy, and enthusiasm of our entire School community. From the unforgettable Spring Concert, where pupils, staff, parents, and OPs joined forces in an evening of exceptional music, to the enchanting Lower School production of Wendy and Peter Pan, creativity has truly taken centre stage.
Our annual Whole School Walk saw pupils and staff take on a 24km challenge with great spirit and resilience, raising funds and awareness for our chosen charities. Meanwhile, Third Year
students embraced the CCF Activity Days, getting a first taste of activities such as the gun run, leadership tasks, and teamwork exercises.
Sport has continued to thrive this term, with a packed schedule of cricket and tennis fixtures, culminating in a joyful and competitive Sports Day.
Looking ahead, we wish all those heading off on the Hockey and Rugby Tour to South Africa, as well as the Namibia expedition, a safe and enriching experience, sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.

What a sensational summer term it ' s been for the Music Department! We kicked things off with our Spring Concert, where a truly stunning performance of Faure ' s Requiem stood out. The collaboration between the school choir and staff and parents choral society was a resounding success.
The Summer Concert highlighted a fantastic collaboration with the Prep School. Our talented ensembles brought their infectious energy not only to this concert but also to Prizegiving. We also enjoyed an intimate ' Rush Hour ' Classical Guitar Concert, where our budding guitarists captivated the audience.
Finally, there was a flurry of activity with pupils diligently taking their ABRSM exams with some excellent results. A huge thank you to all the pupils, teachers, and parents for your dedication and support in making all these events possible.
