Drama
We began this Lent term with a long to-do list , having been forced to postpone the GCSE & A level Drama Practical Exams twice . Term has been characterised by resilience as both cohorts defied the disruption , delivering no fewer than fifteen separate performances over three weeks of practical assessments . The ambition and depth of performance and design was of the
CCF highest calibre , ranging from incisive A level work examining the efficacy of current drugs legislation to life affirming verbatim theatre about the nature of First Love . In the Co-Curriculum we have moved onto the Junior Drama Production Treasure Island which has been advertised , auditioned and cast , with rehearsals now well underway , not to mention the Technical & Creative Production Team who are feverishly designing their take on this dangerous pirate world . Perhaps the most exciting new addition has been the Dance Club , whose practice has culminated in producing three tightly-choreographed pieces of original contemporary dance .

The highlight of the term has been our field day . The Army sections enjoyed paintballing , gun run , sniper stalk and fieldcraft at Driffield Training Area and the RAF section visited RAF Leeming where they were given a tour of the Hawks . Every cadet who took part had a fantastic experience and we now look forward to the overnight fieldcraft exercise that will take place on Friday 13th – Saturday 14th May . The RAF have flying days to look forward to and with Army and RAF Summer Camps on the horizon , we are enjoying the return of all of the events that make the CCF so special .
