Charity Week

This year’ s Charity Week has been an incredible success, showcasing the enthusiasm, generosity, and community spirit of our students and staff. Throughout the week, students took part in a wide range of fundraising activities across all four houses, all while demonstrating exemplary behaviour and genuine kindness.
The standout moment of the week was the much anticipated gunging of the highest voted teachers Mr Shephard, Mr Dare, Mrs Walker, and Heads of School Will and Lula. With competitive bucket bidding pushing totals ever higher, this single event raised over £ 450, creating plenty of laughter and unforgettable memories.
Alongside the gunging, the school buzzed throughout the week with a variety of student led fundraising events, including:
Static cycling the length of the Humber Bridge
Photobooths
Guess the number of sweets in the jar
Name the JellyCat / frog Bake sales
Hot chocolate / popcorn sales
Bacon sandwich / hot dog sales
Easter tombolas
Friday saw the culmination of the week with both the non-uniform day and the staff vs student football matches. The football matches proved to be a lively and memorable occasion, drawing plenty of supporters and creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. Both teams arrived full of confidence, and the pitch was full of excitement long before kick-off.
Every activity was run with enthusiasm and care, and the level of participation was outstanding. Most importantly, our pupils behaved impeccably throughout, supporting one another and showing real commitment to the causes we’ re proud to champion.
A huge thank you to everyone who planned, participated, donated, and cheered on the events. Together, we’ ve raised a fantastic amount of money and strengthened the sense of community that makes our school so special.
