Charity Week

Charity Week 2025 across the Senior School was another fun-filled event, brimming with excitement, generosity, and ample laughter. We were fortunate to enjoy splendid weather, which saw pupils and staff coming together to support a variety of causes through inventive and engaging fundraising activities. The chosen house charities for 2024 / 25 are Bat Conservation Trust, Muscular Dystrophy International, Pocklington Rugby in the Community and Cancer Research UK.
Among the standout events were leg waxing, the Chilli Challenge, cake stalls galore, the Giant Easter Bake Off and the highly anticipated Staff Gunging, where a large crowd gathered to watch colourful‘ slop’ being poured over several enthusiastic staff members, including the Headmaster, Toby Seth. The laughter and cheers from the crowd highlighted the fun aspect of raising money for good causes.
The total amount collected during Charity Week was £ 6,000. This amount is expected to grow during the Summer term, following the School Walk on Thursday 12 June, where pupils will seek sponsorship to support their house charities.
