Lower School
First Year pupils ' models of geographical superlatives
The Lower School continues to impress with its dedication to co-curricular activities. We’ ve been delighted to see so many pupils participating in the Lower School play, House sports and fixtures, music lessons and concerts, as well as our new House Chess competition. During tutor time, all pupils have been working on their report reviews. Second Year pupils have completed and presented their Ambitio projects and First Year pupils have attended mindfulness sessions. In addition to this, we’ ve begun developing and refining revision skills in preparation for the summer assessments. It’ s been a non-stop period, and after such a busy term of academic progress, I hope our Lower School pupils enjoy a well-earned rest over Easter.

The Lent term serves as the engine room of the academic year – performing well now can set the stage for a successful year. It’ s a time of intense work, undoubtedly, but pupils also had a chance to participate in and enjoy the delightful House Drama competition. Third Year pupils had a new experience with the School’ s first in-person Parents’ Evening since the onset of covid. A key achievement for our Fourth Year pupils was completing their HPQs. They are maturing into the young people we aspire for them to become. Fifth Year pupils are working to complete coursework in drama, art, design and PE and prepare for modern language speaking assessments, all ahead of their study leave starting on Friday 9 May. Although I look forward to seeing them on results day in August, I am particularly excited for their Prom on Friday 20 June – time to dress up!

Sixth Form
Throughout the Lent term, our Lower Sixth students have been learning about the variety of options available to them post-18. They have received presentations from a broad range of providers about universities across the UK, apprenticeships, studying overseas and taking gap years. Additionally, they have participated in a series of employability workshops designed to help them stand out in the future job market. These workshops include topics such as ' Brand You ', ' Effective Communications and Networking ' and ' Confidence and Resilience '. Meanwhile, our Upper Sixth students have been busy completing UCAS and other applications with many already receiving exciting offers and making firm and insurance choices. They have also been preparing for, taking, and learning from, their February mock exams. With only a few weeks remaining before the exam season, every practice session and piece of feedback is absolutely crucial!
