What's New: The Guild Lottery
"Hey, you guys know we have a Guild Bank, right?" says Khryztofa, the Soverign Lord and Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic Senate and Dark Imperial Council, respectively.
"Well if you didn't know, you do now! And it's the place where everyone puts unwanted stuff in, and you can ask to get wanted stuff out."
The Guild's leaders have previously depended on donations from its members to buy more bank slots, according to the Guild's leadership, who have shown to be appreciative of donations - however, Khryztofa has said that this felt wrong to him.
"The Guilds' owner is begging every single time that we hit our members up for donations," added Yuki, a Chancellor and Emperor. "So Khryz spent hours of thinking of what he could do to make the Guild money, but have fun at the same time, and eventually came up with a Lottery."
The new Lottery has been implemented in both Guilds. According to the rules found in the Guild's General Discussion forum, the drawing takes place every Tuesday at 7pm WST (11am GMT). Khryztofa will be on the Fleet to draw the winning lotto number. There are 300 tickets, each worth 1000 credits.
"It isn't a 'winner takes all' game, though," Yuki added when asked about the potential earnings. "The point is to raise money for the Guild, so we give 75% of total earnings to the winner, and the other 25% goes to the bank."
"The Guild's bank is there for the use of the Guild, so whether the winnings went to one person or to the bank, the money was being used for the good of the Guilds anyway, making everybody a winner."
The success of the Lotto has yet to be determined. Despite its disadvantages, most importantly the fact that Free2Play characters cannot trade credits and therefore cannot participate, the Guild's leaders have high hopes for this Guild event.
