Ja Rule is ready to step of the stage and move to the movie screen. He is soon to appear in "I'm In Love With A Church Girl" along with Cheetah Girl and Adrienne Bailon. The movie is being produced by the spiritual production company Reverence Gospel Media. Ja Rule plays a drug dealer who is trying to find his way. Reverence Gospel Media states, "The motion picture and sound track are faith-based and adapted from a true story. The Motion picture will be targeted toward the faith-based and urban market, with a focus on teens and families. This approach follows the wisdom of Samuel Goldwyn who once said "It's better to sell four tickets than two." It will also have a G or PG rating so the whole family can prepare to enjoy.

DUCK DOWN & 2K SPORTS Present Contest for Aspiring Artist. Beatmakers will have until March 22nd to submit a sample free instrumental to [email protected]. With their submission that are also asked to send in a video of them putting the video together. Duck Down & 2K Sports will be selecting the top 10 instrumentals along with previewing all candidates work online. Fans will get to vote online and a winner will be chosen on April 5th.

The 2nd part of the contest will begin the following day where rappers will be given until May 4th to submit a clean track using the winning producer's instrumental. Fans will then have another chance to vote on the best verse and the winner will be announced on May 11th.

The winner will also be featured on the 2K11 Soundtrack and flown out to NY to perform live at Duck Down's CMJ Showcase in October.

Jay Z Breaks Ground in Brooklyn

On March 11th Jay Z along with other investors had a ground breaking ceremony for the long awaited Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This will soon be the future home for the Brooklyn Nets. This has been in the works for over a decade. Some residents don't appear to be pleased with this idea only because they believe it will increase traffic and raise the cost of living. The ceremony was celebrated by Jay Z along with Mayor Bloomberg, Al Sharpton, and Governor David Patterson. The Barclay center will seat 18,000 and is set to open in 2012.
